FAQ information

1. What are your opening times?

We are open 362 days a year, weather permitting. We are not open Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

2. How much does it cost and who do I pay?

It costs £15 per day for adults and £12 for juniors. Its £25 for 24 hours.

You can either pay by booking thorough the website in advance (preferable) or cash on the bank subject to availability.

3. Can I buy a season ticket?

No we are a day/night ticket fishery only

4. Do I need a rod licence?

Yes you need a rod licence to fish these waters which can be obtained from the Post Office or the Environment Agency website. You need 2 licences if using 3 rods.

5. Do you allow night fishing?

Yes we allow night fishing, anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

6. Are there any bait bans?

The use of peanuts are banned but we do allow the use of other properly prepared particle baits (you will be inspected)

7. What equipment must I have?

You must have barbless or micro barbed hooks. The use of leadcore is banned. A decent sized landing net, 42" if fishing for Carp and an unhooking mat.

8. What fish are in the lakes?

The lakes hold Carp to 28lb, Mirrors and Commons.

Bream to 7lb along with Tench, Roach, Rudd and Perch

9. Do you allow BBQ's and campfires?

We dont allow camp fires but we do allow BBQ's as long as they are raised off of the ground so the grass doesn't get scorched.

10. Do you allow guests?

We allow a maximum of 1 non-fishing guest per angler at an insurance premium charge of £10.

11. Can I drive my car up to the bankside?

Under no circumstances are vehicles to be driven around the lake, all vehicles are to be kept in the car park and you must transport your equipment to your swim.
